A traditional Czech manufacturer sewer systems The plastic manufacturer is expanding its facilities. With the purchase of the Marotta manufacturing facility in Komorovice—located in the immediate vicinity of OSMA’s premises—the company is expanding its existing storage facilities. The company’s growing sales volumes are also driving increased demand for warehouse space, particularly for the product portfolio intended for project-based business. This primarily involves the KG2000 Polypropylene system, which is available in ring stiffness grades SN10 and SN16.

KG 2000 Polypropylene is a modern, advanced system of sewer pipes and fittings, designed primarily for exposed locations and for construction sewer system in demanding conditions where burial depths of up to 8 m can be expected. At the same time, it meets all future standards as well as environmental protection requirements. KG 2000 Polypropylene Sewer Pipes and Fittings They are made of polypropylene (PP). They feature a smooth, homogeneous wall with high ring stiffness, making them ideal for installation underground in locations with higher peak pressures, such as highway roadbeds, extreme installation depths, or areas with high groundwater levels. Due to the reinforced, homogeneous walls of KG 2000 Polypropylene pipes and fittings, their ring stiffness is equivalent to SN 10 or SN 16. The system is therefore suitable, for example, for foundation work in urban areas and city centers. The tightness of the system’s joints under both positive and negative pressure is ensured by a multi-edged sealing element equipped with a tensioning edge—which prevents debris from entering between the seal and the pipe wall, a positioning lip—which fixes the position of the inserted pipe; a scraping lip—which removes residual debris from the inserted end of the pipe; and a main sealing lip—which ensures a long-term seal at the joint. The KG 2000 Polypropylene sewer system is resistant, in accordance with DIN 8078, to acidic wastewater with a pH of 2 through to alkaline water with a pH of 12.

Due to the high toughness of the material—polypropylene—the entire system, including the sealing elements, is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 90˚C over the long term. High notched toughness and low surface roughness (0.001 mm) are of great importance for the hydraulic properties of the KG 2000 Polypropylene sewer system. Generally speaking, the lower the surface roughness, the higher the flow rate can be; the pipe wall is not subject to corrosion or erosion, and thus the possibility of sediment buildup is virtually eliminated. The KG 2000 Polypropylene sewer system is inert to both groundwater and wastewater. Each of its components is fully recyclable or can be incinerated, producing water and carbon dioxide.
